The Neurobehavioral Unit at
Kindred Hospital Northeast – Stoughton provides behavioral, cognitive and
psychological rehab services to post acute brain-injured adults. We have two
secure units with 41 beds to accommodate the special needs of this patient
population.
Program goals focus on
assisting patients as they develop the necessary behavioral control and
independent living skills to function in a community-based setting. We offer
development of behavioral self control through our level system as well as
community based functional living skills training.
The treatment team includes
members from the following disciplines:
- neuropsychiatry
- nursing
- behavioral services
- cognitive therapy
- recreation therapy
- speech-language therapy
- occupational therapy
The unit is dually licensed
by the Department of Public Health and the Department of Mental Health. Our Unit
is Medicaid/Medicare certified, and accredited by The Joint Commission.
