Outpatient Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program
Comprehensive Pulmonary Treatment
The Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program at Kindred
Hospital Northeast – Stoughton
is a comprehensive program designed to maximize the patient’s functional
capacity, educate the patient and his or her family, decrease hospitalizations
and return the patient to the highest level of independence possible.
The program consists of three visits a week for 6 to
10 weeks of aggressive exercise to build strength, endurance and decrease shortness
of breath. Each session runs from 60 to 90 minutes and is scheduled in the
morning or afternoon, Monday through Friday. Each patient’s program is
custom-designed by a registered clinical exercise physiologist and a physical
therapist.
In addition, education for patients and their family
members is conducted on an ongoing basis.
Who We Treat
Patients in the Outpatient Pulmonary Rehabilitation
Program must have a diagnosis of moderate to severe obstructive or restrictive

Each patient’s physician must provide a prescription
